Consumer Electronics manufacturers in China

Shenzhen and Dongguan produce most of the world’s consumer electronics: phones, earbuds, chargers, smart-home devices, cameras and drones. Expect fast sampling (7–15 days), low tooling costs and flexible MOQs from 500–1,000 units for private-label programs. FCC compliance and battery safety (UN38.3, UL 2054) are the main gating items for US buyers.

Buying guide: Consumer Electronics from China

FCC Part 15 (SDoC or certification for intentional radiators like Bluetooth/Wi-Fi), UL/ETL for AC-powered devices, UN38.3 plus MSDS for anything with lithium batteries, California Prop 65 labelling, and CPSIA if marketed to children. Amazon also asks for UL 62368-1 on many categories.

Yes — most Shenzhen factories are ODM-first. Private label typically starts at 500–1,000 units; custom molds (new housing) cost US$3,000–20,000 and take 30–45 days. Ask for an existing “public mold” model to start without tooling.

Specify brand-new, original ICs and cells on the PO (e.g., “Grade A new LG/Samsung 18650 cells”), require a bill of materials, and use a pre-shipment inspection with function testing. Price far below the category norm usually means recycled cells or counterfeit chips.
