Machinery manufacturers in China

China builds more industrial machinery than any other country, from CNC machine tools in Jiangsu to injection-molding machines in Ningbo and construction equipment in Changsha and Xuzhou. Buyers typically save 30–60% against US or European equipment, but should budget for CE/UL-listed electrics, English documentation and installation support. Compare rated power, control system (PLC/CNC brand), capacity and after-sales terms before requesting quotes.

Buying guide: Machinery from China

Electrical panels should carry UL 508A or an NRTL listing (ETL, CSA) for commercial installation; OSHA inspectors look for NRTL marks. CE is common on Chinese machines but is not a US standard. Ask for the full electrical schematic and a components list — machines built with Schneider, Siemens or Omron parts are easier to list locally.

Standard machines ship in 30–45 days; custom lines 60–120 days. Typical terms are 30% deposit by T/T and 70% before shipment, with inspection video or a third-party FAT (factory acceptance test) before the balance. Larger orders can be covered by an L/C at sight.

Ask whether the exporter has US service partners or will send engineers (buyer pays travel). Negotiate a spare-parts kit for the first year and confirm wear parts are standard sizes. Remote diagnostics via PLC VPN is increasingly standard.

Most machinery falls under HTS Chapter 84 (84.xx). Section 301 tariffs apply to many Chinese machinery lines — check the current list and factor it into landed cost.
