Electrical Equipment manufacturers in China

Wenzhou (Yueqing) is the world’s low-voltage electrical capital: circuit breakers, contactors, switches and sockets. Cable and wire comes from Yixing, Changzhou and Hebei; transformers and switchgear from Shanghai, Xinjiang and Shandong. For the US market insist on UL-listed or UL-recognized components — many Chinese factories run UL-certified lines alongside IEC lines.

Buying guide: Electrical Equipment from China

UL (or another NRTL such as ETL/Intertek) is required for products installed in US buildings and expected by distributors. CE and IEC marks alone are not accepted by US inspectors. Ask the factory for the UL file number and verify it in UL Product iQ.

Specify “pure copper, AWG size per UL 83 / UL 44” on the PO and request a third-party test report (conductor resistance, insulation thickness). Beware CCA (copper-clad aluminium) sold as copper at suspiciously low prices.

Breakers and switches: 500–2,000 pcs per model. Cable: one drum (500–1,000 m) per size, often 1 × 20’ container total. Transformers: 1 unit for custom builds.
