Lighting manufacturers in China

Zhongshan (Guzhen) is China’s lighting capital, with Shenzhen, Foshan, Ningbo and Xiamen close behind. Products range from A19 LED bulbs and T8 tubes to high-bay, street and solar lighting. US buyers should insist on UL/ETL listings and, for utility rebates, DLC or ENERGY STAR qualification. LM-79 and LM-80 reports back up lumen and lifetime claims.

Buying guide: Lighting from China

UL or ETL (both NRTLs) for electrical safety is required for US distribution and often by Amazon. DLC qualification unlocks utility rebates for commercial fixtures; ENERGY STAR for residential bulbs. Ask for the certificate number and verify online.

Request LM-79 (photometric) and LM-80/TM-21 (LED lumen maintenance) reports from an accredited lab, plus IES files for commercial fixtures. Spot-check samples with an integrating sphere or a third-party lab.

3 years is standard for quality LED fixtures, 5 years for commercial and street lights from established factories. Clarify whether the warranty covers driver replacement and who pays return freight.

Bulbs/tubes: 1,000–5,000 pcs per SKU. Fixtures: 100–500 pcs. Lead time 25–40 days after deposit; stock items 7–15 days.
